Well sometime around 3:00am this morning Dusty started flapping his wings madly in his cage. Of course mommy went to the rescue and no damage, just a startled bird waiting for mommy to console him.
I've tried to find what would cause the night fright but its only this morning when I woke up that I finally saw what happened.
Turns out that Dusty took a liking to perching on their cuddle bone. and somehow the cuddle bone fell , so tomorow off to the pet shop to purchase some flat perches. I think Dusty would love them to sleep on :)
I am just happy that he only needed some cuddle time and that he did not break any feathers.
It is always scary when cockatiels thrash! I'm glad you found the reason why! Hopefully, Dusty will feel more secure without thar loose cuttlebone!
